Introduction

The society of Korea follows the principles of Confucianism, an ethical system, which was formed in China in 500 BC. One of the main principles of Confucianism is the principle of respect for parents, family, friends and those who have power. Confucius also attached great importance to the ideas of justice, peace, education, reform and humanitarianism. Many Koreans are credited with the extraordinary success of the country over the past decade; it is this attitude to life. In modern Korean society, Confucianism is more often seen in relationships between people. Rules of relations set down certain standards of behavior between ruler and subject, husband and wife, father and son, young and old, as well as friends. Koreans consider their language as an art form and is very proud of their type, Hangeul (Morrison & Conaway, 2006).

Representational art is highly developed in South Korea. In traditional Chinese painting are very strong reasons and elements of calligraphy, the most important feature in it are lines drawn with a brush. Most traditional sculpture is Buddhist, including statues and ornaments pagoda, one of the finest statues of Buddha in Sokkurame. Shamanists created beautiful examples of wood carving. In Seoul, there are several parks, art sculptures, in which contemporary sculptors exhibit their work. In Seoul, you can also see samples of modern and traditional architecture, including the city gates and the Chosun era Palace Dzheongbokgung (Mongay, 2012).

Contemporary culture of South Korea has developed on the basis of the traditional culture of Korea, as well as the culture of North Korea. Despite the division of Korea in 1948, the culture of both countries has common roots, although in the present differ (Kummer, 2008).
