Who You Have Become As a Woman

Introduction

Sexual development is the most important aspect of our lives. Sexuality is beyond what you do with someone sexually. It is an essential factor of your well being, the individual you are, your body, how you feel, how you dress, speak, walk and interact with others. Each person has their own way of being or feeling sexual.

Sexual growth in a child start from the moment they are born. Kids develop an emotional and physical base for sexuality in various ways as they grow. As they grow each important milestone that they reach like learning to walk, talk or recognizing mom and dad are all significant milestones. It is also important for a young child to recognize his own body and how they for attachment to others. Attachments created at a young age help the child bond with others. Children learn from what they see and mostly fears, punishments, fighting all mentally scar a child and throughout the years those issues will continue to bother the child. The initial stages of a Childs life shape his personality. Children whose parents fight a lot or who have separated tend to develop trust issues when they grow up. Children who see one of their parents drunk often associate drinking with that image and stay away from indulging in alcohol, that is how strong a child is influenced by the things around them.

My parents got divorced when I was six years old, both were stout Christians and once they separated my mother was called into the ministry and she went away on mission trips, She was a devout Christian and devoted her life to the teachings of Christ. Whereas my father remarried and even though I met him on most weekends it was just not enough to create that special bond that each child deserves (Elredge, 2011).

Various researches prove this fact that a father's presence in a daughter's life influences her in various aspects; it helps create the daughter's ability to trust and relate to all the men in her life. Well fathered daughters are more confident and tough. My biggest role models in life were my grandparents who raised me and my siblings. My grandparents were both dedicated Christians and it was through their mutual love and friendship that I learned about true love. My grandmother was the head missionary for the church and she set the example that women are supposed to serve their husbands, family and others. This principal is so strongly embedded in women these days that they spend their lives serving everyone around them, serving mankind becomes their sole purpose however everything in moderation is beneficial and exceeding it can only cause too much burden on a single person
