Rules of Evidence

Introduction

These rules shall be known as Rules of Evidence of Puerto Rico and shall apply in all rooms of the General Court of Justice of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in civil proceedings and criminal. The provisions of these rules shall be interpreted flexibly and in ways that ensure a just, quick and inexpensive to any evidentiary problem. The ultimate purpose of these rules is the discovery of truth in all court proceedings. Types of media are:
