Role Of Southern Childcare Facilities In Preventing Childhood Obesity In Toddlers And Pre-Schoolers
Abstract
Obesity is the most common nutritional disorder in children in developed countries, although not limited thereto only. Because of the increased reliance on child care facilities, today more children are in child care facilitation centres than ever before, therefore for successful addressing of childhood obesity in the child care setting, there is a great potential. This paper is aimed to explore the question that in preventing childhood obesity in toddlers and pre-schoolers, do southern childcare facilities play a vital role through nutrition and physical activity components? The study finds out that a great opportunity is possessed by southern child care facilities and they can lend a hand in equilibrializing the rate of obesity among toddlers and pre- schoolers.
