Is the risk of delinquency among abused children higher than non-abused children?

Introduction

Child sexual abuse is a much more common than expected and would have serious repercussions in the short and long term. Some adverse affects from child abuse can easily be witnessed in the activities of children. Out of them emotional congruence can be explained by the existence of a large immature sexual abusers. This makes them experience themselves as children, have children's emotional needs, and therefore have a desire to interact with other children. Moreover it can also be argued as low self-esteem and sense of ineffectiveness as factors of the search for relationships that give them feelings of power, omnipotence, and control. The notion of narcissism underlying the explanation of sexual abuse, emotional congruence also explains the need to produce child sexual abuse (Cheung & Tse, 2010).

Activation child sex has been separated from the emotional congruence to assume that it is not necessarily related issues.
