Remembrance of Allah gives a person a higher degree of Tawhid. Remembrance of Allah - the main root of murids. The stronger the root, the more is the fruit. Zikr, this is the same as the vigil until the servant of Allah will come to waking from his oblivion, he can not reach sites in the way of reaching Allah, for which each person is created. Remembrance of Allah should be in all conditions, in which he finds perfection and peace of mind, reaches the height of the spirit, having received near Allah. So it is said in the Hadith Qudsi, (saying, the Prophet conveyed from Allah): "People remember me? People close to me" (cited Imam Ahmad). A Knowledgeable person is that who is diligent in remembrance of Allah and his heart distant from vain worldly pleasures Allah ward in all its states. "Those who are patient, in the victorious, and who is diligently knocking up to open up" (Ansariyan, 2004, pp. 54).
Dormant heart can only wake Dhikr, and forgetting God - the death of the heart. And obedience to the command of Allah, the zikr of sufi multiply to make their life like the life of the angels, the hearts are not approaching the mundane, nothing distracts them from their beloved who have forgotten their own souls in close proximity to the Creator and away from everything except Allah, they have a higher pleasure (vadzhd) (Ansariyan, 2004, pp. 54).
The Meaning & Importance of Remembrance of Allah (Dhikr)
Dhikr is an Arabic word, in the Islam, refers both to the memory of God and the practice that sharpens the memory (Rayshahri, 2011, pp. 76). The goal is the renunciation of the world, "emptying the heart of earthly concerns" to better approach God and to achieve the annihilation (fana). To do this, the practice is codified: the rhythm of breathing and attitude are elements that can support repeating the name of God (Allah or the name of the Prophet or "one of the 99 most beautiful Divine Names" or attributes of the Prophet) (Rayshahri, 2011, pp. 76).
In many verses of the Quran and sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) used the word Dhikr in its various senses. This word means the Qur'an as the Word of Allah: "I sent down the Dhikr and I will keep it" Also, it means the Friday prayer, for example: "O you believers, when you will call to prayer on Friday, then you go to the remembrance of Allah" (Al Juma 62: 9). And in another place, it means knowing: "You ask the people of Dhikr, if you do not know" (Al Anbiya21: 7).
