Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of Genocide in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on how does a genocide prevail and its relation with human beings living in different countries, victimized by Genocide. The research also analyzes many aspects of Genocide that paved way for its occurrence and tries to identify and gauge its effects and impact in the midst of preventing the occurrence of Genocide. Considering the kind of immense damages that are associated with Genocide, the damages are irrevocable; hence it is thus the responsibility of the heads of authority and governmental bodies to avert the risk or occurrence of Genocide in home or guests countries around the world.

CHAPTER 01: INTRODUCTION

Background of the study

Genocide is a heinous form of violence that is neither accidental nor spontaneous. Many studies have shown evidence that the killings are usually well planned and they are not merely acts of individuals but of groups acting under directions of states or those who claim authority. Perpetrators are most often normal people who carry out the killings which in some cases seem to be usual business to them while the victims in most cases are targeted because of their identity be it, tribe, race, religion or any other form by which they are identified.

Problem Statement

The problem statement undertaken for this research study is 'Highlighting and identifying preventive measures undertaken at each step of the genocide'. The problem statement revolves around what has happened in Kenya regarding the evidences and proofs, which yield the rise or future occurrence of genocide.

Research Aim

The real gist, or the research aim undertaken with this study is to identify those preventive steps and attempts that are occurring in the state of Kenya and how should the government of Kenya tend to adopt and implement measures and steps, which would help the repellence and avoidance of genocide.
