The purpose of this paper is to analyze the past, existing and the future trends in the periphery among the means of the criminal justice system as in its relation with the corresponding society. Further, the paper would identify and evaluate the contemporary issues which influence the prevailing criminal justice system and would attempt to establish the worth of a criminal justice system in an emerging society.

Past Trends

Several people have taken the criminal justice system as merely reflecting a callous and cruel existence; whereas a few have considered it as really lenient and negligent. The criminal justice system has had trends which have established through centuries. Capital punishment has been a part of the criminal justice system for several years.
