In American society today, the term "patriotism" is used loosely, and in fact has become so common that the true significance of the phrase has been nearly forgotten. America, which is the only homeland it can speak for on this subject, has converged patriotism and nationalism, and rarely do you find any person who can make a distinction between the two. As an American, it discovered that it have dwelled my entire life as somebody who has not ever stopped to separate patriotism and nationalism, and even now, when it have begun to pattern different ideas about the two, have problem seeing where one finishes and the other begins. After much investigation, it has discovered times in my life that it has experienced true patriotism, where it is easily a untainted love for one's country. The most obvious demonstration it can believe is rather of a recurring event. When it propel to school in the morning, it go down this street which donates me a breathtaking outlook of Mission Bay and the town of San Diego. So every morning, inside the first hour of my day it know-how this attractiveness, and am overcome with a feeling of untainted love for what it am looking at and absolute privilege that it can gaze upon it.
