This paper intends to discuss the case of Elk Grove Unified School District v. Newdow for the purpose of exploring the constitutional aspects of Pledge of Allegiance. This paper will assess the objectivity of the pledge in school in viewpoint of Newdow along with the constitutional rights of Newdow being violated. Moreover, different rulings of the case will also be explored. The purpose of this paper is to make the reader aware about the importance of pledge of allegiance and its relationship with sociological perspectives.
