With all his rhetorical message of “Hope and Change”, Obama was trying to revive, who had borne him as the first African American in 2008 to the White House. Millions of new voters were not needed by Obama for winning in November. What he only needed was to convince most of the Americans who voted for him once to vote for him once again. Obama insisted on his old supporters not to turn him away but to believe that “change is still possible”. In his speech, US President Barrack Obama has tried to convince voters that a generational choice is faced by them in November's election as he agreed to the nomination of the Democratic Party. Laying out his case for being re-elected to a second term, he compared himself with Franklin D. Roosevelt, who succeeded an unprecedented four presidential elections and America was led by him to recovery after the Great Depression.
