Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to enlighten and explore different aspects of narcissism in a holistic manner along with academic exploitation. The core objective of the paper is to highlights different facets of narcissism and academic exploitation. Moreover, the paper is entitled to measure the relationship between different facets of narcissism and academic exploitation. It can be asserted that the influence depicted by narcissism is diverse as it is acknowledged in different fields of study. However, it can be illustrated that there is substantial relationship between academic exploitation and narcissism. Through there are fewer research studies conducted upon this scenario. Hence, this paper aims to highlight the relationship between narcissism and academic exploitation in order to validate the findings representing the relationship.

The Relationship between Different Facets of Narcissism and Different Facets of Academic Exploitation

Introduction

The term Narcissism has wide implications. There are various fields of studies that classify and define this term as per diverse conceptions suggested by psychologists and theorists. Therefore, it can be stated that there can be various meaning accompanying the term Narcissism. There have been different researches carried out to explore the influence and core meaning for narcissism in order to decide whether narcissism is a psychological disorder, psychoanalytic theory, a socio-cultural anomaly or only one of the personality characteristics governed by an individual's frame of mind (Ackerman, Witt, Donnellan, Trzesniewski, Robins, Kashy, 2011, 67-87).

Nonetheless, different studies have illustrated that Narcissism can be defined as self-obsession, self-love or simply egoism. However, other researchers disregard these illustrations as they believe that Narcissism accompanies much more diverse implications. The existence of narcissism has diverse impacts (Weikel, Avara, Chad, Kater, 2010, 46-71). Nonetheless, in this research study the relationship between narcissism and academic exploitation is explored. This study is aimed to extract different facets of narcissism and observe their relationship with diverse facets of academic exploitation. This research aims to accumulate data from the sample of the study and drawn conclusions on the basis of valid findings.

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this study is to analyse and explore the relationship between narcissism and academic exploitation. The core objective of this study is to explore the term narcissism and the aspects associated with it. Nonetheless, this research study also aims to measure the relationship between the diverse aspects of narcissism and the facets of academic exploitation. Different researches have been conducted to explore the influence depicted by narcissism on academic aspects (Champion, 2003, 78-84). Hence, the findings extracted from the data accumulated from the research sample in this study will not only facilitate the future researches in this context but also assist strategy formulation process through which influence of narcissism on academic exploitation can be minimized.
