Introduction

Mother and Child is an unconventional family drama that centers on the subject of adoption. It shows the effects of giving away a child as well as the highs and lows of bringing one into your life. The film was written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia with a cast led by the amazingly talented Annette Bening. Without being too preachy or sentimental the film examines what really makes a family.

The movie “Mother and Child” is complicated and ambiguous. Men are recommended to watch these movies about women, to understand them (after all, to be a woman, and, above all, a loving mother now). Women need to watch them, not to forget its true nature and the main destination.

The plot is built around a number of women, each of which has its own problem: given birth at the age of fourteen, and gave his daughter to the shelter she now cannot find it, as a daughter who grew up without a mother does not know why she needs a mother now, and suffers from it, young wife cannot get pregnant. In this version Garcia are three related resident of Los Angeles, passing through different stages of adoption. Medrabotnitsa Karen (Annette Bening) left his daughter shortly after birth, and now regrets it terribly. Daughter (Naomi Watts) grew up in a lawyer with a heart of ice - injured his own bereavement, she is afraid to become attached to people. Some mystical idea that everything in life is not just, hardly compatible with the prosaic realities of our atomized society, and the behavior of characters is easier to explain the desire to complete his plot puzzle than a normal human motivations. The presence of stars only partially redeems shoals unfinished script, but Watts, which went completely unemotional role of women, throw on every man in sight, once again confirms his rare talent to play a strong blonde in trouble.
