The village of MonteMagno is situated in the province of Pisa, Italy and the history of the village is very old and, it is surrounded by olive groves. There were only three churches in Montemagno in the past. The Montemagno Cultural Group was formed in early 2008 with the aim of promoting cultural activities related to Montemagno and its territory (MARTINI ME, 1976). The group has been involved in collecting and making available information and pictorial material relating to the current situation and the history of the country, with particular attention to the aspects of social life.The first mention of Montemagno, dating back to 780s, appears in the act of foundation of the Abbey of S. Savino then near Caprona, which was assigned as a dowry by the founders, among other assets, a church of S. Gregory at Montemagno church no longer mentioned in the thirteenth century. Considering that the church represented the main point of aggregation, not only religious, but for all civil life that had definitely very different importance to the community and the other two churches of S. Martin and S. Mary of the Snow.
