Introduction

The word "Catholic" is derived from the Greek word katholikos meaning "universal" or "general", more precisely the universality of Christ's message. The word appeared late in the French Language (1598) and only became aware that from 1794. The Catholic Church believes in the Holy Trinity, namely that to one of three faces. Methodism as a form of Christian belief and practice comes from a movement that began with the life and ministry of John and Charles Wesley, who wanted to bring more excitement to the spiritual life of the Church of England in the eighteenth century. Their efforts transgressed the canonical boundaries of the established church, which eventually provoked the emergence of a separate church. From the theological point of view, the Wesley brothers supported the optimistic Armenian view that salvation by the grace of God is possible for all human beings, in contrast to the Calvinistic ideas of election and predestination accepted by Nonconformists in England in the eighteenth century. They also emphasized the important effect of faith on character, teaching that perfection in love is possible in this life (Gilmore, 1995).
