Melchizedek is a great deal a title as it is a name or description of honor. It is a place or agency that has to be topped up by a commendable candidate. Delcor, (1971) expresses that the period is a transliteration of two Hebrew words, melek and tsedeq. The Hebrew melek expresses ruler and tsedeq means righteousness. Therefore, the period "melchizedek" means literally, "ruler of righteousness." Because a monarch is habitually preeminent in his authority, who Melchizedek was, he had to be the greatest in righteousness. The "king" of righteousness that's what He had to be.
