Measurement is a basic science process of comparing a selected pattern with the object or phenomenon whose physical quantity to be measured to see how often the pattern is contained in that magnitude. It is to determine the dimension of the magnitude of a variable in relation to a preset measuring unit and conventional. Some conventional systems are known to set the units of measurement: the international system and the English system. It is also to compare the amount that we determine unknown and a known quantity of the same magnitude, we chose as a unit.
When we measure something we must do it with great care, to avoid disrupting the system we observe. On the other hand, we must not forget that the measurements are made with some kind of error, due to instrumental imperfections or limitations of the meter, experimental errors, therefore, be carried out so far produced is altered much less than the experimental error which may be committed.
Meter is a unit of length in the International System of Units and the SI base unit of length. The unit symbol of the meter is the small letter "m" of decimal multiples and parts thereof, the international resolutions for units. The meter is a base unit in metric unit systems. The unit of length is meters and in uses from the end of the 18th Century. The origin of this length unit is the decision of the French National Assembly, to define a uniform measure (Kerr, 1976).
Discussion
Measurement according to modern physics is the process of interaction gauge of the test object, taking place in time and space, which results in an information object properties. Measurement is a set of actions performed in order to determine the measure of a particular physical quantity or ...
