Introduction

Microscope reveals the structure of a thin foil or prepared surface of material above 25x magnification which is referred to as Microstructure. The classification of microstructure material can be stated as follows: Metallic, ceramic or polymeric. The physical properties are greatly influenced by the microstructure of a material, such as, toughness, corrosion, strength, ductility, resistance, hardness, low/high temperature behavior, and so on. This also governs a change in the application of these materials in the industrial process.
