These days, there has been a growing body of research on the subject of globalization. Conventional descriptions of globalization focus on overall costs and the results of worldwide organizations. In the book Solutions to Economic Globalization, writers Cavanaugh and Mader (2002) referenced a number of aspects that are determined with the term globalization. These aspects are: hyper-growth and exploitation of the environment, privatization of public services, international social homogenization, and marketing of consumerism, incorporation of nationwide financial systems, business deregulation, and displacement of traditional nation-states by international business bureaucracies (p. 19).

Globalization is being pushed by progressively more strong worldwide industry aspects motivated by organizations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Economical Finance (IMF). The World Trade Organization was established in 1995 and as of August 2004 had 148 participant countries. The WTO is situated in Geneva, Europe. According to the WTO, they are "the only international worldwide organization interacting with the guidelines of trade between nations" ("What is the WTO?" 2004). The International Monetary Fund was established in 1945 and is situated in Washington D.C... The IMF currently has 184 participant countries. The objectives of the IMF include: tracking and appointment, financing, and specialized support to its members ("About the IMF," 2003). Other organizations which enhance globalization are: the World Economical institution (1946) which makes loans to under developed countries, and the Trilateral Commission payment (1973) which specializes in trade between Asia, European countries and Northern The united states, "to nurture nearer collaboration among these primary democratic developing areas around the globe with distributed authority obligations in the greater worldwide system" ("About the business," 2004).

Media globalization has been a natural expansion of business development on a worldwide range. Post World War II renovation through organizations such as the World Economical institution and the International Economical Finance assisted to propagate globalization through financial commitment. In 1974, UNESCO released a research by scientists Nordenstreng and Varis. MacBride and Roach (2000) analyzed the 1974 UNESCO research and mentioned that, "The research confirmed that a few European countries managed the worldwide circulation of tv applications (p. 289). According to MacBride and Cockroach (2000), press globalization obtained further strength in the 80's, when a existing policy of deregulation of press in many under developed countries along with visibility to private financial commitment took place (p. 289).
