Introduction

Magnolia Therapeutic Solutions has revised its budget on the anticipation that their grant would be renewed for 2002. Total budget was increased to $2 million. In addition to this many developmental works were also in pipeline. Though the budgeting and forecasting is based on the anticipation but still the anticipation needed to be realistic. Previously the grant was given to the Magnolia Therapeutic Solutions because New York City came under most demolishing attacks which resulted in the need of organizations that can help the government to maintain the balance and help them to come out of the tragedy of the terrorist attacks. As the time moves on this emergency situation start to stabilize and the condition started to become normal.

Decision of Board and My Opinion

The decision which was made by the board of director was based on the current scenario and anticipated future needs which in my opinion were a good thing for planning. In this case the emergency was initiated in the first half of September. The situation which initiated emergency was the result of terrorist attacks on the twin towers of World Trade Centre. Such kinds of emergencies are not seen very often and that is why the board of director assumed that this will not only effect the current year but the aftereffects of these terrorist acts will be extended to the next year also. But the people started to recover quickly and the need of organization to deal with the problem was no longer needed. Despite of the fact that this emergency was carried to the next year but the intensity of necessity was diluted and become a reason of non-granting of funds.
