The success of Elvis Presley during his lifetime and after his death, and now his name brand to earn more money than ever, despite the fact that he died more than 30 years ago. J.R.R. Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Presley moved to Memphis, Tenn., with his family at age 13. He began his career in 1954 when Sun Records owner Sam Phillips, wanting to bring the sound of Afro-American music to a wider audience, saw Presley means to realize their ambitions. Accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black, Presley was one of the founders of rockabilly, fast, Backbeat fusion of the country and rhythm & blues. RCA Victor bought his contract in a deal organized by Colonel Tom Parker, who will manage the singer for more than two decades. Presley's first RCA single "Heartbreak Hotel", released in January 1956, was a number one hit. He became a leading figure in the newly popular sounds of rock 'n' roll with a series of network television appearances and chart-topping records. His live interpretation of songs, many of the Afro-American sources, and his uninhibited performance style made him extremely popular? And controversial. In November 1956 he made his film debut in Love Me Tender.

Conscripted into military service in 1958, Presley resumed his career two years later with some of his most commercially successful work. He put a few shows, however, and, guided by Parker, began to devote most of the 1960's to make Hollywood movies and music albums, most of them are critically derided. In 1968, after seven years on the stage, he returned to live performance in the famous TV Comeback Special, which has led to an extended Vegas residency gig and a string of profitable tours. In 1973, Presley was the first concert broadcast globally via satellite, Aloha From Hawaii, seen in about 1.5 billion viewers. abuse of prescription drugs is seriously compromised his health and he died in 1977 at the age of 42.
