Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to make an analysis on the relationship between the multiple intelligences of pre-university Saudi students and their relationship to Language Learning Styles and Achievement in EFL. This is a description of the multiple intelligences, student's achievements and the learning styles and to notion the changes in multiple intelligences and learning styles during the three pre-university stages (Elementary-intermediate-secondary) schools.

Statement of the problem

The process of learning is humanistic process. It is the process that creates the differentiation between the human being and the other species on the earth. Learning process helps people in increasing their knowledge and skills and brings advancement in their lives. Another important point of human learning is that it is helpful in bring differentiation between the different people as well. The main reason behind such differences is the difference in the learning styles (Adonri, 1998, p. 23). According to different research, there are almost more than 30 learning styles which are helpful in bringing differentiation in the learning of people. The main problem to be discussed in this paper is the relationship between the multiple intelligence of pre-university Saudi students and language learning styles and their relationship to the achievements in EFL.

Purposes of the study

The main purpose of this study is to identify the different learning styles for the Saudi pre-university level students, and identify that which learning style has the correlation with the high achievement students. The study also has the aim to define the relationship between the preferred learning styles, multiple intelligence and the achievements in the EFL.

Questions of the study

Following are the main questions to be covered in this study:

1-Is there a relationship between Learning Styles and student's Achievement?

2- Do learning styles change according to school level?

3- Is there a relationship between multiple Intelligences and language Achievement?

4- Do Multiple Intelligences Change according to the school level?

5- Is there a relationship between multiple Intelligences and Learning Styles?

6- What are the multiple intelligences that characterize high achieving EFL school students?.

Hypotheses

1- Learning Styles do not differ according to MI preferences (could be).

2- The relationship between learning styles and student's achievement.

3- Learning styles change according to school level.

4- The relationship between Multiple intelligences and student's achievement

5- Multiple intelligences change according to different school level

6- High achiever students use specific multiple intelligences.
