Position of Judaism on marriage
According to the Jewish scripture, the marriage of a person is decided even before he comes in the womb of mother. According to Jewish interpreters of their holy scripture, forty days before being conceived a child is selected for marriage to a specific person who is also selected. Jewish say that everyone has right to choose his wife but the orthodox Jews says that the chosen wife is also already selected in the heavens. Therefore, an individual has just only to follow the fate and reach at the guided and written destiny. In the Jewish community the word bashert is used for the ideal partner. The idea of bashert never gives an explanation that the life of the selected couple will be free from difficulties and rough paths but it requires all the essential qualities and ingredients to make a marriage successful. It is believed in Judaism that the perfect match can also become a part due to their misunderstandings, therefore, the Judaism has preserved the right to use the option of divorce.
In the religion of Judaism, concept of marriage has been classified in a way which bounds the two souls in to one. The Judaism believes that after going after the process of marriage a married couple become one soul. According to Jewish scripture the commandment is fulfilled after getting into the process of marriage and to give their children birth. Judaism believes spiritually that the marriage is the occasion of where two souls merge together to form a single soul. This is the reason that a man is always recognized as incomplete before getting married because his soul is not match with anyone (Bleich, J, 1977).
Abortion as a moral issue
In Judaism, abortion is one of the moral issues. The modern followers of Judaism believes that abortion is permissible only in some condition. Otherwise it is considered as the most immoral practice. The condition includes, women's life in danger or the issue of illegitimate child due to unfair means of relation. The moral issue come across when this option of abortion is misused to fulfill their personal unjust desires. The Judaism has clearly permitted abortion but with some guided condition, but there are some sections of society in Judaism which are not following those conditions and are encouraging the option of abortion in order to meet their unfair means.
Position of Christianity on marriage
In Christianity, the institution of marriage is furnished as the order of God. They believed that it is a order of God to get into the relation of husband and wife by committing marriage. Christianity believes that marriage has many social benefits which are utilized at different stages of life.
