Abstract

Advancement in information systems and computer sciences makes it potential to save, collate, rebuild, record and utilise elaborated truths about persons on a level and in a manner rather different from the past. With this advancement, in information systems and computer technology, information is extensive, not thin; is lasting, not transitory; and is isolated, not attached to the person's own reflection. Now, the question is, how do such advancements alter the facts, or the perceptual experience, of secrecy for the person? How, particularly, do they alter the fact or perceptual experience of secrecy for everyday life, not only in sound states of affairs or reference to dominance? Can there be privacy in the information age? This study analyses the dissimilar attributes of management information systems currently in practice, computer science, and current situation with reference to personal privacy in United Kingdom, exemplifying their outcomes for personal data, and reasons that these have fundamental entailments for personal privacy and self-sufficiency. Furthermore, This paper will ascertain the employment of privacy in the information age, weather there can be secrecy in the information age or not.

We are living in the era of the information age, the era of accumulating information. Individuals are acquainted to all available kinds of information from print and circularise media, and themselves are the matter of information accumulated on an eminent level. Information processing systems have converted to so impinged in the individual's life history that they've pertain to acquire information processing system for accorded, and commonly cease to complain on functions when these machines betray them. Information processing systems accumulate our payroll checks, pay our bills, administer our currency, broadcast our orders, and preserve our information. Although information processing systems could just comprise pieces and bits of our personal information, jointly information processing systems acknowledge us more beneficial than several of our acquaintances and relations.
