Increased Occurrence of Autism in Immigrants in America
Research Methodology
Research Design
This study focused on collection of primary data sources. The data is collected through a questionnaire compiled to acquire the response from members of a number of families that belong to Somalia, Uganda and Cameroon with regards to factors including gender, age, location, social status and time. Furthermore, the collection of data is based on using quantitative analysis regarding the topic of research. The quantitative data would prove to be helpful in analyzing the statistics of the autistic children living in this city (Hoogenhout, 2012). The main focus of the study is to perform useful analysis of the acquired quantitative data and to interpret its findings.
Primary Research
Primary research is defined as the research in which the principal investigator or researcher goes to the field, i.e. areas of interest from where data can be gathered, and collects data. There are a number of benefits that come with primary research. It is easy to analyze and extract findings from (Burns & Grove, 2010). It is conducted either by distributing questionnaires or by conducting interviews. The outcomes of both these methods can be manipulated on the spot and verification can also be done quite conveniently. The participants of interviews or questionnaire filling can be re-asked the questions in order to verify the results. However, these benefits are limited to cases in which the sample size is small. Primary research is usually close ended and therefore can reduce the limit of responses given by the participants. Honesty of the participants in case of primary data cannot be questioned.
Quantitative Research
The researcher would make use of quantitative research to collect the data. It is so because the study contains numeric and statistical data which is useful in answering the ...
