Introduction

Street vending is now becoming a most common concept all over America. It is a type of business in which new and small business vendors use to sell their commodities through an easily transportable or mobile system of business. In this they usually sell their commodities by the side of the streets or at other places. It is also known as hawker system. This type of system has been in use since nineteenth century but its concept is growing all over the world. Before 1994 this was strictly prohibited in Los Angeles and considered as a crime with various charges and penalties (Ben-Joseph, & Szold, 2004, p.158).But even then there is continuously increase in the street vendors.It is very easy to operate and provide better and easy opportunities to manage their business. These vendors sell different varieties of items from eatable items like snacks, popcorn, cotton candy, peanuts, soft drinks, juices, beverages, ice cream, hot dog etc to a variety of other items. These are also involves in the sale of various clothing and other accessories. These vendor also sale various companies items like bags, watches , wallets, books and various other daily life accessories. This street vendor business is getting attention and becoming more popular in the North America as it provides chance for better earning and quick living. Apart from all these benefits one alarming situation associated with business is that it now also involving various young vendors associated with it. This attracted the attention of various concerned people towards it and there is research conducted on this topic that provides the complete detail about this concern and true condition of the young vendors associated with this business. The research on young street vendors in the Loss Angeles is conducted by Estrada and Hondagneu-Sotelo (2011), in which they focus the youth working as street vendors. They also analyzed how this life style affects them and how they managed to earn and other social behavioral patterns associated with this business.
