ABSTRACT
This research study intended to examine the challenges of records management, and security risks of electronic records in charities and voluntary organization. To ensure that the data are authentic and secure, records and archives require a proper management framework system. There are many benefits of electronic records systems to charities and voluntary organizations. The electronic information is easily storable, readily accessible, retrievable, transferable, exchangeable, and saves office space. The electronically stored information cuts the charity costs, and improves exchange of information with the public, and other communities and funding organizations. The purpose of this research was to fill this gab by having a closer look at records management in a sample of charities and voluntary organizations. The researcher's interest was to assess and compare the local policies and guidelines of records in these organizations with the national standards. The other areas to be explored by the researcher were the availability of resources, staff training, and the challenges of records management in these organizations. The findings of research hypothesis indicate that there is a significant impact of effective records management in improving the efficiency and productivity of charity and voluntary organizations.

CHAPTER # 4: FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION
Introduction
This research study is conducted to examine the challenges of records management, and security risks of the electronic records in charities and voluntary organization. To ensure that the data are authentic and secure the records and archives require a proper management framework system. This chapter presents the findings of the survey which is conducted to examine the advantages and risks of electronic records. The employment of professional information technology personnel and regular training programs of staff as prerequisites to a quality records management strategy were also examined. For this research study there were 15 managers randomly selected across the charities in west Yorkshire region and were requested to complete the ten questions listed on the interview sheet. The potential respondents of this research study have high level of experience, working either in the charities, voluntary sector or in some occasions both.
