Research Strategy

At Post Level students already have some idea about the development of academic writing and analytical skills during their previous studies. When a student research at post graduation level, they are required to explore the studies from new perspectives and they are asked to conduct researches by their own and not in groups as it was used to be done on college and graduation level. At post graduation level students are assigned with more complexes and challenging studies so that they can have better idea about their chosen field. At post graduation level, students are offered to structure opportunities to make connections between their professional practices and their own values in a wider horizon of practice, research and policy of their field (Anderson & Poole 2001).

At post graduation level students are asked to do researches and many more academic works based on their field. In order to conduct researches students have to develop material for their researches and have to study various researches in order to learn that how studies are conducted and research papers are published. For their study they have to first develop the topic and then according to their topic they have to develop material. Material is developed only after the material is searched. The searched material helps in understanding the study as well as in developing the study (Becker 2007).

To search material there are several steps which must be done before search the material. The most important step is to first analyze the topic or assignment given by the instructor. After analyzing the topic or assignment the study should be organized and schedule must be made. The study should be conducted according to the made schedule. After making the schedule searching of material is done. Material can be searched through various ways. It is preferred to use online libraries for searching materials. The reason behind using the online libraries is that almost all materials are easily available on the online libraries. Online libraries contain books, journals and articles on variety of topics (Becker 1998).

There are various online are available and now days almost all universities give access to their students for online libraries. Especially at post graduation level universities give various students access so that they can easily work on their study. For academic writing teachers prefer that the material should be from books or from other academic sources. It also depends upon the topic and subject on which is assigned to the students. For example a news related topic is assigned to the students than it is not possible for the students to find material from academic sources (Crème & Lea 2003).

On the other hand if students are assigned with assignments which are academic or based on the academic work then it is not possible to find material from website sources.
