Introduction
Organizational Change and development is a very important concept for organizations to cope with the changes that are required to succeed in the competitive business environment. It is very important for the management of the organizations to bring changes in the internal systems of the organization for the betterment and development of the organization. It has been observed in many cases that there are a number of employees to cope with the changes being made by the management of the organization. It is obvious that there are various reasons behind the employees not willing to cope with the changes aimed to be introduced in the market. It is also obvious that the employees pretend that they are willing to adjust with the changes, but they actually do not want to work according to the changes being introduced in the organization (Blackard, 2000, pp. 38). There are various ways through which employees aim to neglect or refuse to adjust to the changes of the organization. A brief discussion on the various ways and reasons that become a basis for the employees to not work according to the changes in the workplace is presented as follows.
Discussion
It has been observed that effective organizational changes are very important for the success of the organization. On the other hand, it is very important for the employees of the organization to understand the importance of the introduced changes. The success of the changes introduced in the organization depends upon the understanding and the compliance of the employees. In many cases, it is clearly observed that the employees are not willing to cope or adjust with the changes that are implemented in the organization. There are various examples that also serve as the ways that employees adopt to resist the changes that are implemented in the organization.
For example, employees refuse to make efforts to learn new things or systems that are implemented because of their attitude of working traditionally. Normally, it is observed that the management of the organization aim to change the systems of the organization to bring innovation, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and procedures within the organization (Burke, 2009, pp. 46). But, at instances it has been observed that employees do not like to work according to the new systems but aim to stick to the old systems that were previously implemented in the organization. In other cases, it has also been observed that the employees tend to find issues in the new systems and point out faults in the newly developed systems. These so called faults are identified by individuals because they do not want new systems to be completely implemented in the organization because they have been so very used to working according to the old systems.
