Graphical Display and Summary Statistics of the Study Variable

Descriptive statistics refers to the collection, presentation, description, analysis and interpretation of data collection. The descriptive statistics used in this report represent diversified study variables of the study that have a significant impact on the future strategies used by Carter Conference Centre. In this research descriptive statistics are used as a tool of obtaining a data set of conclusions about data trend (central tendency and dispersion). It can be used to summarize or describe any group whether it is a population or a sample, when in the preliminary stage of Statistical Inference (Abbott, Barman, 1997, 47).

The variables used in this analysis are qualitative in nature; hence, they are measured on a scale of 1-3. If a variable has obtained the score = 1, this means that the response from that particular variable is good. Similarly, if the variable is ranked at the score = 2, this means that the contribution from that particular variable is neutral. Nevertheless, if the variable is ranked at the score = 3, this can be interpreted as a poor contribution to the study.

According to the analysis of the study, it can be interpreted that the respondent's opinion of the main auditorium has mean score of 2.08, this shows that the variable is more inclined towards poor contribution. Therefore, it can be interpreted that respondent's response about the auditorium is poor. However, while analyzing the overall satisfaction score of visitors it can be interpreted that most of the visitors were satisfied from the seminar; because, the mean score of their satisfaction is 68.37%. The descriptive statistics also reveal that the average time spent by the visitors was 12.95 hours; however, the response of visitors was neutral as the variable is ranked at 1.95 mean score (See Appendix: Table I).

While analyzing the variable that represents the gender of the visitors it was noticed that the mean score of gender was 1.56. Nevertheless, the mean score of the funding was 0.46. It can be noticed that the rank of 0 was allotted to the self funded visitors; however, the rank of 1 was assigned to employer funded visitors. The data and the mean score of the analysis reveal that the ratio of both self funded and employer funded visitors is equal; therefore, both these variables are significant for Carter Conference Centre (See Appendix: Table I).

The respondent's opinion of the general facilities provided in the seminar was ranked between 1-3; where 1 was considered as good and 3 was considered as poor response. The data analysis reveals that the mean score of the discrete variable is 2.21; hence, it would be considered as approximately neutral response. The respondents' opinion of the catering was ranked similar to their previous response. Nevertheless, the mean evaluation revealed that their response to catering is neutral because the variable is scored at 1.89. The analysis reveals that the respondent's opinion of the welcome was poor; because, the ...
