Critique 2: Journal Article on “Attributes of God”

I. Introduction

Christopher Holmes in his article, “God's Attributes as God's Clarities” highlights the divine attributes associated with the God as discussed by Wolf Krötke. These are the main attributes, which Krötke mentioned as 'clarities'. In this article, the main purpose of Holmes is to identify God's attributes in accordance with the comparison of different theologians and their views. Holmes focused on the four main attributes, which identifies the divinity of God, identified by Krötke as love, power, truth and eternity. In his article Holmes further categories these clarities and also highlights the discussion of these attributes as defined by Krötke in his book. These attributes are identified according to the conditions in the Germany as were discussed by Carl Barth. Holmes also analyzed Barth's point of view and critically discussed it with the analysis of Krötke.
