Introduction

In every business, the main ambition is to earn a profit and to maintain the satisfaction level of the customers. In order to fulfill both of these purposes, it is essential for an organization to keep on the track of the competitors. For this purpose, organizations perform the process of the profiling of the competitors. This gives an insight about the competitors and helps the organization to devise their policies. This paper discusses the competitor profiling of two healthcare organizations. The two healthcare organizations that are selected for this paper are Flushing Hospital Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Description of Healthcare Organizations

In order to provide healthcare services to the customers, Flushing Medical Center started its operation back in 1884 since then it continued to grow and expand. The hospital caters to the community dwellers of Queens Community. This hospital comprises of 293 beds. The hospital provides the services of variegated primary and specialty services. The hospital keeps the process of renovation and updates the system and processes on so that they can provide better services to their patients. New York Presbyterian Healthcare System is the collaboration of Weil Cornell Medical College and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Presbyterian network of the healthcare system is an institution that is located in the metropolitan area of New York. This network of the healthcare system is an acute care and community hospital (Health Grades, 2011).
