Introduction

Communication process is the most significant process in any organization which should be given proper attention. It is one of the most challenging aspects of the organization. To ensure a proper and smooth communication within the organization, clear communication channels are established. Organizational charts play a vital role to demonstrate the structures of the communication channels. In case of a merger or acquisition, it is vital to restructure the organizational chart and communication channels. In the given scenario, two organizations have recently merged and there are two organizational charts which now need to be restructured for establishing a proper communication channel for both organizations. In this paper the organizational chart for Aerospace Corporation and Engineering Corporation has been designed.

New Organizational Chart

The Aerospace Corporation is the parent company which is based in China and the Engineering Corporation is the organization which is based in United States. The main aim is to establish clear channel of communication for ensuring productivity and efficiency amongst the international organizations.

Importance of Organizational Communication

Communication is one of the key factors in the operation of any business organization. it is a tool, a key element in the organization and plays a role in the proper running and maintenance of the company. Its activity is made possible by exchange of information between the different levels and environmental positions (Barker & Angelopulo, 2007). Organizational communication is understood as, “A set of techniques and activities to facilitate and streamline the flow of messages that occur between members of the organization, and between the organization and its environment, or to influence the opinions, attitudes and behaviors of internal and external public to the organization, so that the latter complies better and faster objectives (Miller, 2011, pp. 67).”

Organizational communication is the total set of messages exchanged between members of an organization, and between its environments. These messages can be transmit at different levels and in different ways, for example, written communication, information exchange, mass communication etc. Organizations should develop induction programs involved in the culture of organization, to encourage collective attitudes in a mature way, understanding the posture and behavior that are generated within the companies (Mohan, 2003). It is about building reliable channels, sustained, flexible communication among all members. To perform this type of proposal, it is important to create communication strategies that enable productive act both for the organization and its publics.

The CEO of the organization will be from the parent company i.e. the Aerospace Corporation. After the CEO will be the Country VPs for both countries.
