This piece of study aims to talk about two commitments of the Baptismal Covenants. Christians in baptism got a gift called grace, which is a covenant relationship in Christ with the God. This concept of Baptism guide people to protect them from committing sins, and to follow the values, beliefs, and choices taught by Jesus Christ. The motive here is to limelight two main commitments of Baptism. These two commitments are to follow Apostles' fellowship and teaching, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers. The second commitment is to strive for peace, and justice among people of the world, and to respect the dignity of all human beings. Discussion
The lives of Christians represent the apostolic witnesses and show affirmation with the commitments to Baptism. In the Church, which is the community of the baptized, Christians are told to follow all the commitments that Baptism asked them to do, and to make their lives according to the Baptismal Covenant. In order to be a righteous Christian, one has to admit being a full member of the Body of Christ. Baptism is one of the essential elements without which it is hard to become a member of the Church fully and whole heartedly.
Apostle's teaching and fellowship
As Christians, we are bound by the Baptism, which bound us by providing the vows that we must follow in order to prove by heart our full membership in the Body of Christ. These vows invite us to follow the standard calling that every Baptized must follow, as these vows provide us a clear guideline to make our lives the way a Christ should be, and to have a way of living which is Christ-centered. All of these vows demand something important from us, and conveys a thought in every individual that our life should meant to be a gift of Love, instead of committing sins. It is of immense importance according to the vow that reminds us to follow the apostle's teaching and fellowship, that one should not commit any crime, sin, or bad deed that can become a reason for the person in not participating in the fellowship, learning, prayer and worship of the Church.
