One of the major concerns surrounding teenagers today is that they ignore the duties of a responsible human being. It is generally perceived that being young gives them a freedom to go on about doing anything and in case of trouble use their age as an excuse. It has become quite evident that teens today are the most dangerous and unsafe category of drivers present on the road. Certainly, the main reason of the death of many teenagers is due to car accidents.
Though their percentage share in the total drivers is very less, but they are likely to be responsible for more accidents. A common pattern has been identified in teen car accidents for example most of them occur when a car hits a tree, wall or either slides off the road. This clearly reflects reckless driving and least responsible behavior. This problem increases if teen drivers have driving license, as it provides them with an opportunity to drive recklessly, without any legal limitations.

It has been suggested by many people that driving age should be increased to 21, as it has been noticed that people who start driving at this age are less likely to be involved in accidents. This also takes away the right of teenagers to get driving license. Now a days there is a huge list of problems that are commonly faced on the roads for example not following signals, signs, regulations and road rage etc. One of the most probable results of all these problems is the occurrence of accidents on the roads. Accidents are very dangerous, as they do not only risk the life of the driver but also put the life of others at stake.
When teens usually get their license after going through a rigorous process, they often tend to become over confident which this is a typical teenage psyche and is very common in all the teenagers. They often see danger as challenges and as factors that prove their strength and coolness to their friends. This thinking often enforces them to drive recklessly and speed their vehicles. This often becomes the cause of many accidents, because driving license enables them to drive without any fear of being caught by their parents or being charged by traffic police.
