Therefore, it is believed by the management that the product may cope up with both the food borne pathogen detection and biological warfare agent detection markets.

Company G's new color changing polymer technology, Electro Tect, is a revolutionary breakthrough in the rapid detection of biological weapons, selected chemical weapons, homemade explosive devices, and food pathogens. Electro Tect utilizes a new color changing polymer technology containing integrated capture reagents (e.g. antibodies for specific biological agents) for specific agents. The Electro Tect line of products will produce a rapid color change when in the presence of the agents, it is being tested for. Since the color change is a rapid visual indicator, no specialized training or education is needed to use the product correctly. At launch, two Electro Tect product lines will be available. The polymer film is equipped with a gas exchange system that quickly transforms the threatening agents from their natural form into a gas and uses that gas exchange to determine if the materials are a potentially deadly disease. Once the film has detected the presence of the agent, it will then change color alerting the people around that they are in trouble.
