Abstraction

In this research paper we will be discussing about the changes that have taken place after the disastrous incident of 9/11, it was the day which brought to light the vulnerabilities regarding the security of aircrafts. This attacked also changed the way the Americans use to think, as many Americans before the attack thought they were a secure country and such type of terrorist attacks can only happen to other countries. This incident raised a huge debate regarding the vulnerabilities present in the airline security systems. One of the major vulnerabilities that were identified as a major cause of attack was the less amount of security of the cockpit or the flight deck. Cockpit is an area which is usually in front of an aircraft, this is the area where the pilots sit, and control the aircraft. It was found that the doors of the cockpit were not secured enough which allowed the terrorists to gain easy access to the flight deck and they killed the pilots and easily gained the access of the controls of the aircraft. The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the new advancements are for improving the aviation security. These new laws sanctioned on all the commercial airlines in America would also encourage the foreign civil aviation authorities to adopt the same standards for their flights.
